The most common complaint we all have with ourselves is that we Don’t Drink Enough Water! We all know how important it is. We all keep thinking we will do it. But somehow it just never happens.
So, we here at ObiNo put our heads together to figure out the 5 simplest ways to remember to Drink More Water Daily and here they are!
1. HAVE A SPICY LUNCH
Tell your bai or just remember to use a liberal hand with the spices while preparing your lunch (whether for home or your boxed lunch for office).
The spices (especially chillis and crushed pepper) will not just spike your metabolism; they’ll have you running for the Water bottle as well. And down will go 2-3 glasses, easy-peasy!
2. USE YOUR PHONE
Now that your Mom is no longer around to push you to drink, use your Phone instead. Download an App for it (Try the one-click Water Reminder on ObiNo’s Weight Loss Coaching App – click here to download) and it will do the thankless job of reminding you to guzzle a glass every 2 hours! And what’s even cooler, unlike your Mom…you can Snooze it!
3. KEEP IT IN PLAIN SIGHT
A prime position on your Desk, next to your Monitor, in the Cup holder next to your gearstick in the car, right next to the TV Remote at home; just keep your Water bottle or a big glass of Water in the most visited spots that you frequent and let the hydration flow!
4. EAT SOME WATER TODAY
Technically cheating but what the hell! Hydrate with some water-rich foods like Cucumber, Watermelons, Clear Soups, etc and snack on water throughout the day…what say, feeling hungry now?
5. DRINK WHENEVER HUNGRY
Remember that faintly restless, hunger-pangy feeling you get in office when you just want to munch on something. Chances are you’re feeling thirsty. It is super common to mistake Thirst pangs for Hunger pangs, so now everytime you feel twitchy, try a big glass of cold water first and then reach for food.
Do remember to wait for 15-20 minutes before munching though since your tummy takes about 20 minutes to register a feeling of satiety.
Sound easy, don’t they? But the true magic is in your thoughts. Think it and it will happen! So happy thinking and happy drinking!
